Sterling silver plated earrings will naturally get darker over time. To keep them brighter longer, store them in an air-tight container such as a plastic pouch or jewelry box. You can also use a silver polish from time to time – just be careful to be gentle so that you don’t rub the silver plating off. To restore silver plating, you can take your silver plated earrings to a jewelry shop and they can re-plate them for you.
